Boyfriend Woes

I really am not too keen on travel, but I didn’t have a choice this time. I had just dumped Dave, my boyfriend of two years. To cheer me up, my friends suggested we travel to the Caribbean. Dino, my first boyfriend in high-school was dating my best friend at the same time as me. Can you imagine my shock and horror when I saw them together at the movies? I dumped him before he could say Jack Robinson. Of course Tina is no longer my best friend after that.

The next one, Frank, was no better. I guess his name’s the only thing he was frank about, he was a compulsive liar. I learnt about it much later, and the final straw on the camel’s back was his arrest for drunken driving. After that, I didn’t really want to drive into the sunset with him.

And now Dave. Can you imagine we were together for almost two long years and I didn’t know he was already married. At first I really believed him when he said he was working late or had to travel because the job demanded it. The flimsy excuses and long absences started getting to me after a while. Made a few inquiries and realized that he was happily married and had a kid. It was time to say goodbye to Dave as well. Not a very happy ending I would say.vacation

Here I am in the Caribbean. My friends say that the cute bartender has been giving me the looks since we got here a couple of days ago. Must say it really cheers me up, maybe my travel to the Caribbean may not be as uneventful as I predict it to be - a holiday romance in the offing perhaps?

Seizing Luck

Since the trees and nature are coming out and blooming, you might as well too. Being outside feels good when the spring is here, especially after a nice rain shower and when the sun comes out, so much fun.

World Poker Tour in Africa

World Poker Tour Enterprises announced today that they have finalized an exclusive partnership to launch the first ever World Poker Tour (WPT) event to take place on the African continentWPT Marrakech. The three-year deal enables the partners to create annual televised broadcasts around the events which you cant do with online poker. The first WPT Main Event will take place in October.

WPT Marrakech will be held in the famous Casino de Marrakech, Morocco’s casino games gem since 1952, and also the casino that Ian Fleming based his fictional “Casino Royale” on, and currently the organizer of the Marrakech Poker Open with the Es Saadi Gardens & Resort’s palace and five star hotel.

“The leading Moroccan tourist town proved to be an ideal location to attract the best players from Europe and the world over: the city’s proximity to Europe, its abundance of accommodations, and its status as a glamorous destination that is increasingly active on an international level,” the WPT said in an announcement.

This should prove to be an exciting event that feature good poker and, more importantly, spread the great game of poker to more parts of the world.
